About Calcinum
What we do
Calcinum provides free online calculators for paycheck estimation, tax calculation, salary analysis, and personal finance. Every tool is free to use, requires no signup, and works instantly in your browser.
The site is built and maintained by founder Rakesh Choudhary, who writes the calculators, curates the tax data behind them, and reviews every page against primary sources.
We currently offer 300+ free calculators and tools, including 130+ standalone calculators across finance, tax, health, math, and construction, 51 state paycheck calculators (all 50 states + DC) plus 25 city paycheck pages, 51 state sales-tax pages, and 112 educational blog posts covering topics from tax deductions to FIRE planning. Whether you need a paycheck calculator, tax calculator, or salary calculator, Calcinum has you covered.
All calculators are updated for the 2026 tax year, including changes from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB Act) signed in July 2025, with the new $16,100 standard deduction for single filers and updated bracket thresholds.

How we ensure accuracy
- We use 2026 federal tax brackets sourced directly from IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 and updated per the OBBB Act (signed July 2025), with the new $16,100 / $24,150 / $32,200 standard deductions.
- State tax rates are verified against official state revenue department data and the Tax Foundation's 2026 state income tax tables, including 2026 rate changes in GA, NE, SC, WV, KY, AR, MT, ND, MN, and other transitional states.
- Social Security wage base ($184,500) per the SSA Contribution & Benefit Base, Medicare rates (1.45% + 0.9% additional Medicare per IRC Section 3101(b)(2)), and all FICA thresholds are updated annually.
- Military pay data is sourced from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) 2026 pay tables effective January 1, 2026.
- Calculations are transparent, every calculator page shows the formula, step-by-step breakdown, and worked example so you can verify the math yourself.
Editorial standards
- Primary sources only. Every tax rate, bracket, and threshold cites either the IRS, the relevant state revenue department, the SSA, DFAS, or the Tax Foundation. We do not aggregate from secondary sources without primary verification.
- Annual rate-change review. All 51 state configurations are re-verified each January when new tax-year data is published, and again whenever a state passes mid-year rate-cut legislation.
- Calculation transparency. Every result page shows the formula and intermediate values so you can audit the math.
- No personalised advice. Calcinum publishes general-purpose calculators and educational content; we do not collect financial data or provide regulated tax/financial advice. Consult a CPA or financial advisor for decisions specific to your situation.
Disclaimer: Our calculators provide estimates for informational purposes. They are not a substitute for professional tax, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions affecting your finances.
