Tile calculator limitations
The tile calculator estimates rectangular area, subtracts rectangular exclusions, applies a visitor-selected waste allowance, and rounds tile and box quantities up. It does not design a tile layout or account for grout, adhesive, trims, labour, freight, substrate preparation, waterproofing, structural conditions, breakage after purchase or pattern-specific set-out.
Supplier-stated box coverage, current pricing and product availability should be checked directly with the supplier. A tradesperson may advise a different waste quantity after inspecting the area and layout.
