Founder and publisher
Calcinum was founded and is built and maintained by Rakesh Choudhary as a sole-operated project. The original Calcinum website served a broad US calculator catalogue. The current website is developed specifically for Australian users, language, metric conventions and source material.

Why the library exists
Useful calculators should do more than return a number. Each tool is intended to explain the inputs, show the method, state its limits and give people a practical next step using Australian language and conventions.
Two tools are live: a tile estimator and a fence material calculator, both using Australian metric measurements. Other calculators and converters will be added only when their purpose, formula, edge cases and instructions have been reviewed.
Editorial and calculation standards
- A defined user problem and a distinct reason for the page to exist.
- A versioned method with assumptions, rounding rules and test cases.
- Useful visible guidance rather than a thin page built around a search phrase.
- Accessible controls, mobile-friendly layouts and privacy-conscious data handling.
- Sources, limitations and review timing that visitors can inspect.
- Material corrections that are reproduced, tested and recorded.
Funding and editorial independence
The long-term plan is for clearly labelled advertising to help fund the free library. Advertising is currently disabled. Before any advertising is introduced, the privacy disclosures, consent requirements and placements will be reviewed. Ads will not be styled as calculator controls, recommendations or results.
If advertising is introduced later, calculation methods, results and editorial corrections will remain separate from advertising decisions.
